⚡️ THE 'HAVE' PATTERN
In this story, we see "have" used in two different ways. This is a key jump for A2 students.
1. Owning something (Possession)
- The Patriots have a problem.
- (They possess a problem right now.)
2. Experiencing something (Medical/Life)
- Chris Rodriguez Jr. has a foot surgery.
- (He is not 'owning' the surgery; he is undergoing it.)
💡 QUICK GUIDE: HE/SHE/IT
Notice how the word changes when we talk about one person or one team:
- Many teams start (Plural)
- One player is (Singular)
- The Patriots have (Group/Plural)
- He wants (Singular add 's')
