1. Now (The Process) We use verb + ing for things in progress.

2. Finished (The Fact) We use a simple change to the word for things that are done.

Got (Past of Get) → The Rams already have the player.
Gave (Past of Give) → The trade is finished.
Was (Past of Is) → He was hurt in the past.
