Introduction

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan won the elections in June 2026. Now, Armenia wants to work more with the USA and Europe and less with Russia.

Pashinyan's party got about 50% of the votes. Many people do not trust Russia now. This is because Russia did not help Armenia in a war with Azerbaijan in 2023.
