📅 TALKING ABOUT THE PAST

In this text, we see how to describe things that already happened. We change the action word (verb) to show it is finished.

The Pattern:

  • SeeSaw (Example: People saw a play)
  • ListenListened (Example: People listened to a talk)
  • LearnLearned (Example: People learned about opera)
  • GoWent (Example: People went to a workshop)
  • Is/AreWas/Were (Example: The weather was hot)

💡 Simple Tip for A2: Most words just need -ed at the end to talk about yesterday. But some words are 'rebels' and change completely (like go becoming went).

Quick Look:

  • Irregular: See \rightarrow Saw
