In this story, almost everything is finished. To show this in English, we often add -ed to the end of the action word.

To talk about the past, just follow this path: Person $\rightarrow$ Past Action $\rightarrow$ The Rest

Someone who had a job or position in the past, but does not have it now.

Example:The former teacher now lives in a different city.

break (n.)

A short time to stop an activity and rest.

Example:We have a ten-minute break between classes.

unhappy (adj.)

Feeling sad or not satisfied.

Example:She was unhappy because she lost her favorite book.

shouted (v.)

Spoke or yelled very loudly.

Example:The coach shouted to the players to run faster.

traffic (n.)

All the cars and trucks using a road at the same time.

Example:There is a lot of traffic in the city every morning.
