New reports show big problems in prisons in the ACT and Western Australia. Prisoners do not have good care or safe rooms.

新報告顯示 ACT 與西澳的監獄存在嚴重問題。囚犯缺乏良好照顧，且房間不安全。

In the ACT, guards used a chemical spray on an Aboriginal woman. She was very sad and hurt herself. She was not dangerous. The report says the guards were not kind and did not help her culture.

在 ACT，獄警對一名原住民女性使用了化學噴霧。她因此感到非常悲傷並自殘。她當時並沒有危險性。報告指出獄警並不友善，且未顧及她的文化背景。

In Western Australia, three prisons are very bad. Many more people are in prison now. There are not enough staff or beds. Some prisoners sleep on the floor near the toilets.

在西澳，有三座監獄的情況非常糟糕。目前入獄人數大幅增加。人手與床位皆不足。部分囚犯甚至睡在廁所附近的地板上。

The government says they have more money for buildings. But the inspector says this is not enough. The prisons are still not safe.

政府表示他們有更多資金用於建築。但視察員認為這並不充足。監獄依然不安全。

Prisons in both places have bad problems. Some guards are not fair, and some prisons are too full.

這兩個地方的監獄都存在嚴重問題。部分獄警不公正，且部分監獄過於擁擠。
