⚡️ Action Words: Past vs. Now

In this story, we see how things happened (Past) and how they are happening (Now). To reach A2, you must know the difference.

1. The 'Finished' Action (Past) We add -ed to the end of the word to show it is over.

  • Order → Ordered
  • Attack → Attacked
  • Destroy → Destroyed

2. The 'Right Now' Action (Present) We add -ing to show the action is continuing.

  • Fight → Fighting
  • Make → Making

💡 Pro Tip: The 'Strong' Words Some words change completely in the past. They don't follow the -ed rule:

  • Take \rightarrow Took
  • Do \rightarrow Did
  • Be \rightarrow Was/Were
