⚡ The 'Past' Action Pattern
Look at how the story tells us what happened. We add -ed to the end of action words to move them to the past.
The Pattern:
- Check → Checked
- Land → Landed*
- Stay → Stayed*
Wait! Some words are 'rebels' and change completely. They don't use -ed:
- Break → Broke
- Tell → Told
- Catch → Caught

To say someone did NOT do something in the past, use did not + the basic word.
