🌪️ The 'Action' Secret

Look at these words from the story:

  • Broke (Something is now in pieces)
  • Stopped (Something is not moving)
  • Lost (Something is gone)
  • Fell (Something went down)

What is happening here? These are all Past Actions. To talk about things that already happened, we often add -ed to the end of the word.

The Pattern: Now \rightarrow Then Stop \rightarrow Stopped Move \rightarrow Moved

Wait! Some words are 'Rebels' (Irregular): Some words change completely. You just have to memorize them: Break \rightarrow Broke Fall \rightarrow Fell Lose \rightarrow Lost

Quick Guide for your A2 Journey: When you tell a story about yesterday or last week, check if your action word needs an -ed or if it is a Rebel word.
