💡 The "Something + Action" Pattern

In this text, we see a simple way to describe who does what. To reach A2, you need to move from single words to Subject → Action.

Look at these examples:

  • Elly De La Cruz \rightarrow plays
  • The manager \rightarrow says no
  • Kodai Senga \rightarrow is getting better

The Rule of Thumb: Whenever you want to say something about a person, just put the Name/Person first, then the Action.

Vocabulary Bridge: Instead of just saying "hurt," notice how the text uses "missed games." This is a very common way to talk about time and work in English.

  • Missed 44 games \rightarrow He was not there for 44 games.
  • Missed two months \rightarrow He was not there for two months.
