⚡ The 'Movement' Pattern

In this text, players move between teams. To talk about this at an A2 level, we use these simple directions:

Getting SomeoneWant to buy / Get Losing SomeoneSold / Left

Look at the patterns:

  • Manchester City \rightarrow wants to buy \rightarrow Elliot Anderson.
  • Newcastle \rightarrow sold \rightarrow Anthony Gordon.
  • Mohamed Salah \rightarrow left \rightarrow the team.

Quick Tip: Use "want to" when the action is in the future (a dream or a plan). Use "sold" or "left" when the action is finished (the past).
