Judge Stops Big Money Fund

Introduction

A judge says the Trump government cannot use a fund of 1.776 billion dollars. This money was for people who say the government treated them unfairly.

Main Body

President Trump wanted to give this money to some people. Many people in Congress did not like this. They said the government should not give tax money to political friends or people who broke the law.

Government leaders said they will not use the fund. But the judge did not believe them. The judge said the leaders did not sign a formal paper to stop the program. Also, President Trump said he still likes the idea.

Now, the judge wants a special paper. Two top leaders must sign this paper. They must promise that the fund is gone forever. If they sign it, the case will end.

Conclusion

The money stays frozen. The government must sign the paper first.
