🛠️ Action Words: Now vs. Then

In this story, we see two ways to talk about things happening. One is for things that just happened and one is for things happening right now.

1. The 'Finished' Action When something is done, we use a simple form.

  • Broke (Past) → They broke part of the house.
  • Built (Past) → They built a room.

2. The 'Still Happening' Action When something is in progress, we use am/is/are + ing.

  • Changing → The government is changing the city.
  • Working → They are working together.

💡 Quick Tip for A2: If you see -ing, think of a movie playing in your head. If you see words like broke or built, think of a photo of something already finished.
