Introduction

On June 12, 2026, about 1,500 students marched in Jakarta. They are angry with President Prabowo Subianto.

Money in Indonesia is now worth less. Because of this, the price of fuel went up by 32%. Now, food and life are very expensive.

The government has a program for free meals. Some people like it. But other people say it is a waste of money. Some people got sick from the food, and some leaders stole money.

Students also worry about the army. The army now has many jobs in the government. On June 12, 6,000 police and soldiers stopped the students. They fought in the streets.
