⚡ The "Action" Pattern

In this text, we see a pattern: Person/Group + Action + Number. This is the fastest way to describe a situation in A2 English.

Look at these examples:

  • The army \rightarrow killed \rightarrow 13,000 fighters.
  • The government \rightarrow is hiring \rightarrow 50,000 officers.

How to use this: To tell a story or a fact, just follow this simple path: Who did it \rightarrow What happened \rightarrow How many/much.

💡 Word Swap: "Hard" vs "Safe"

Notice how the text describes feelings about life:

  • Safe (Good/Peaceful) \rightarrow Not safe (Dangerous)
  • Hard (Difficult/Poor) \rightarrow Life is hard (Money is a problem)

If you want to describe a city or a job, use these two words to give a quick opinion.
