⚡ The 'Still' & 'Now' Pattern

To reach A2, you must show how things change or stay the same. This text uses two powerful words to do this:

1. STILL (Something is not changing)

  • Example: "Many people still need help."
  • Meaning: They needed help before \rightarrow they need help now.

2. NOW (Something is different)

  • Example: "Israel is now taking more land."
  • Meaning: Before they did one thing \rightarrow today they do something else.

📦 Counting & Amounts

Notice how the text describes quantities to show a problem. This is a key A2 skill:

  • Total Percentage: "90% of the houses... are gone." (Almost all)
  • Specific Numbers: "500 trucks" vs "150 to 250 trucks." (The gap between the plan and reality)

Quick Rule: Use numbers and percentages to make your descriptions more accurate. Instead of saying "Many houses are broken," say "90% of houses are broken."
