💡 The 'Action' Pattern

Look at how we describe what people do in this text. It follows a very simple path: Person \rightarrow Action \rightarrow Reason/Result

Example 1: Money

  • "They learn new things... to make more money."
  • Why? Because we use 'to + verb' to explain the goal.

Example 2: Habits

  • "They change their old ways... to work better."
  • Why? Again, 'to + verb' shows the purpose.

Quick Vocabulary Shift Instead of saying "I want," use these common A2 pairs from the text:

  • Safe life \rightarrow A life without danger.
  • Quick wins \rightarrow Fast success (often not lasting).
  • Bad habits \rightarrow Things you do that are not helpful.

The 'No' Rule To say someone does NOT do something, just put 'do not' before the action:

  • They do not guess.
  • They do not want quick wins.
