⏱️ Talking about the Past

In this story, almost everything happened yesterday or last week. To do this, we change the action word (verb).

The Simple Change Most words just need an -ed at the end:

  • play → played
  • stop → stopped
  • remember → remembered

The Rule-Breakers Some words are rebels. They change completely. You must memorize these:

  • win → won
  • put → put (stays the same!)
  • get → got

Quick Look: Negative Past When someone didn't do something, we use did not + the normal word:

  • Correct: The North team did not get the ball.
  • Wrong: The North team did not got the ball.

Example Sentence "The South team won because they played well."
