🕒 Talking about the Past

Look at these words from the story:

  • died
  • crashed
  • tried

The Secret: Most of the time, to talk about yesterday or last year, we just add -ed to the action word.

Example: Crash → Crashed

⚠️ The Rule-Breakers

Some words don't follow the -ed rule. They change completely.

  • Go \rightarrow Went (The plane went off the runway)
  • Break \rightarrow Broke (The plane broke into two parts)
  • Catch \rightarrow Caught (It caught fire)

💡 Quick Tip for A2

When you see "is now" (The Air Force is now buying), it means the action is happening right now. When you see -ed or went, it already happened.

Now \rightarrow Buying Past \rightarrow Bought
