🕒 The "Then" Words
In this story, we see words that tell us things happened in the past. At A2 level, you need to recognize these patterns to tell stories.
The 'ed' Pattern Many action words just need -ed at the end to move from now to yesterday:
- Work Worked
- Talk Talked
- Attack Attacked
- Burn Burned
The Rule Breakers Some words change completely. You just have to memorize these:
- Go Went
- Do Did
- Wear Wore
- Break Broke
Quick Tip: If you see -ed, it usually means the action is finished. If the word looks totally different (like went), it is still a finished action!
