💡 The 'Action' Pattern

Look at how the story tells us what happened. We use a simple pattern: Who \rightarrow Did What.

  • The UFC \rightarrow paid 60 million.
  • Planes \rightarrow flew.
  • A band \rightarrow played music.
  • Justin Gaethje \rightarrow won.

🕒 Talking About the Past

When we talk about things that are finished, we often add -ed to the end of the word:

  • Start \rightarrow started
  • Play \rightarrow played
  • End \rightarrow ended

Watch out! Some words change completely. They are 'rebels':

  • Win \rightarrow won
  • Fly \rightarrow flew

💰 Big Numbers & Money

In English, we put the money symbol or word first:

  • 60 million dollars (Correct \checkmark)
  • Dollars 60 million (Wrong ×\times)
