The 'Who Does What' Pattern

In this story, we see a simple way to describe actions.

Person/Group \rightarrow Action \rightarrow Object

  • Australian police \rightarrow are looking into \rightarrow reports
  • Israeli soldiers \rightarrow stopped \rightarrow them
  • Minister Penny Wong \rightarrow told \rightarrow Israel

Simple Tip for A2: To move from A1 to A2, stop using only "I am" or "It is." Start connecting a person to a strong action word (verb) and a thing (noun).

Word Swap: Instead of saying "The soldiers were bad," try: \rightarrow "The soldiers hurt them."

(This makes your English sound more active and clear!)
