🕒 The "Past-Tense" Story

When we talk about things that already happened, we often add -ed to the end of the action word. Look at how the story moves from the start to the end:

  • Leave \rightarrow Left (Special change!)
  • Turn \rightarrow Turned
  • Fall \rightarrow Fell (Special change!)
  • Hit \rightarrow Hit (Stays the same!)

Why this matters for A2: To tell a story, you must change the action word. If you say "The plane leave," it sounds like it is happening now. If you say "The plane left," we know it is a memory or a report.

🔍 Finding the "Who" (Groups vs. People)

Notice how the text talks about different types of 'people':

  1. Individuals: "The pilot"
  2. Groups: "Twelve people", "Government groups"

When the text says "They are checking," the word They replaces the groups (FAA and NTSB). This keeps the writing simple so we don't repeat long names.
