Main Body

Some people saw oil leaking into the water. The government checked the wells. They found four wells with leaks. These wells are dangerous for the water and fish.

The project costs a lot of money. One group used a big fund for emergency work. Another group paid 3 million dollars to remove the other wells and pipes.

Local people are happy because they want to protect the bay for tourists. But one group, the Sierra Club, is not happy. They say Texas has 10,000 old wells that need help.
