🕒 The 'Past' Secret

Look at these words from the text:

  • hurt \rightarrow (happened before)
  • died \rightarrow (happened before)
  • attacked \rightarrow (happened before)
  • used \rightarrow (happened before)

How it works: To talk about things that are finished, we often just add -ed to the end of the action word.

  • Example: attack \rightarrow attacked

Watch out! Some words are 'rebels' and don't follow the -ed rule. These are called irregular.

  • Example: hurt \rightarrow hurt (It stays the same!)

🌍 Naming Places

In English, we use In for countries and cities:

  • In Gaza
  • In Nigeria
  • In cities

If you see a big area on a map, use In.
