🚨 Stopping and Banning

Look at these words from the text: Stop, Cannot, Bans.

These words all mean one thing: NO 🚫.

  • Stop \rightarrow Make something end.
  • Cannot \rightarrow Not able to do it.
  • Ban \rightarrow A legal rule that says "No."

🧩 The 'Number' Pattern

In English, we put the number before the thing we are counting. This is a golden rule for A2 students:

Number+extThing\text{Number} + ext{Thing}

  • 100,000 \rightarrow police officers
  • 50 \rightarrow drones
  • three \rightarrow countries

Quick Tip: If there is more than one, always add an -s to the end of the thing (Officer \rightarrow Officers).
