Vocabulary Learning
🕒 Talking about the Past
In the text, we see many words that tell us things already happened. For A2, you need to know how to change an action word (verb) to show the past.
The Simple Rule: Add -ed Most words just need two letters at the end:
- Attack → Attacked
- Start → Started
- Arrest → Arrested
- Destroy → Destroyed
The Tricky Ones (Change completely) Some words are 'rebels' and don't follow the -ed rule. You must memorize these:
- Come → Came
- Fight → Fought
- Die → Died (Follows the rule, but sounds different!)
Quick Check: Now vs. Then
- Now: The government wants security.
- Then: The government wanted security.
📦 Describing Things
Look at how the text describes the airport and uranium:
- Important (High value)
- Dangerous (Not safe)
To describe something in English, put the word before the object:
