Vocabulary Learning

🌍 Who is doing what?

In this text, we see a pattern: [Person/Group] + [Action].

  • Leaders \rightarrow met
  • President Trump \rightarrow signed
  • Prime Minister Modi \rightarrow gave

Why this matters for A2: To speak basic English, you just need to name the person and the action.

The 'Simple Past' Trick: Notice how most of these words end in -ed (talked, promised, ended). This tells us the event is finished.

Watch out for 'Rule Breakers': Some words change completely. They don't use -ed:

  • Give becomes \rightarrow Gave
  • Say becomes \rightarrow Said

Quick Vocabulary Map:

  • Trade = Buying and selling things.
  • Deal = A formal agreement.
  • Border = The line between two countries.
