Introduction

President Donald Trump had a meeting at the White House on June 18, 2026. He gave the Medal of Honor to three soldiers. They worked in Vietnam and Afghanistan.

James Capers Jr. and John W. Ripley fought in Vietnam. James was hurt in a fight, but he helped his team leave safely. John used explosives to break a bridge. This stopped many enemy soldiers and tanks.
