🧊 The 'Action' Pattern
Look at how the story tells us what happened. It uses simple words that change to show the past.
Past Actions Now Actions
- fell fall
- broke break
- ate eat
- walked walk
The Secret Rule: Most words just need -ed at the end to move to the past (walk walked). But some words are 'rebels' and change completely (eat ate).
Quick Example from the Text: "He broke his leg." This happened before now. If it happens now, we say "I break it."
Vocabulary Focus:
- Base camp The main starting point.
- Rescue Saving someone from danger.
