📉 Comparing Things: Less vs. Fewer
In this story, we see two ways to say "not as much."
1. Use FEWER for things you can count (1, 2, 3...)
- Fewer people (You can count people) "Fewer people like President Trump."
- Fewer jobs (You can count jobs) "There are fewer jobs."
2. Use LESS for things you cannot count (big groups or amounts)
- Less money (You don't say "one money, two moneys") "They have less money now."
- Less time (General amount) "I have less time today."
Quick Tip for A2: If you can put a number in front of the word (e.g., 10 people), use fewer. If you can't, use less.
