🚨 The 'Action' Pattern
In this story, we see how to describe people doing things right now or in the past. This is the key to A2 English.
1. Now (Present)
- They are protesting → (They are doing it currently)
- They want → (A feeling or wish they have now)
2. Before (Past)
- People were building → (An action that took time in the past)
- Someone put → (A quick action that finished)
- They walked → (A completed movement)
💡 Simple Rule for You: If you see -ing after 'are' or 'were', it means the action is like a movie → it is moving/continuing. If the word ends in -ed (like walked), the movie is over.
