What is it? It is used when something is against the rules or impossible.

How to use it:

  • Rule: Children cannot use social media.
  • Reality: I cannot swim.

Quick Change → In a normal conversation, we don't usually say 'cannot'. We say can't.

  • Formal: They cannot have accounts.
  • Speaking: They can't have accounts.
