Introduction

Professor Bimal N. Patel is now a judge for the International Tribunal for the Law of the Sea. He will work there from 2026 to 2035.

The United Nations had a meeting in New York from June 15 to June 19. They chose Professor Patel as a judge. He starts his job on October 1. India already has one judge there named Neeru Chadha.
