⚡ The "Action Now" Pattern

In this story, we see a lot of simple actions. When we talk about things that happened, we often change the word to show it is finished.

Look at these changes:

  • Catch → Caught
  • Shoot → Shot
  • Find → Found
  • Put → Put (This one stays the same!)

How to use this for A2: If you want to tell a story about yesterday, don't use the basic word. Use the 'finished' version.

Wrong: Yesterday, I catch the bus. ❌ Right: Yesterday, I caught the bus. ✅

Quick Word Tip: "Look after" In the text, it says they looked after the temple. Look after → To take care of someone or something.

Example: I look after my small brother → He is safe because I help him.
