Introduction
City workers in Mumbai and Yamunanagar broke down illegal buildings on public land.

In Mumbai, workers cleared a large area in a housing society. Some people built shops and kept animals there. This was not allowed. The area was for play and rest. The city broke the shops because they were dirty.

When we talk about things that already happened, we usually add -ed to the word. Look at how the story changes the words:
- Clear Cleared (The workers cleaned the area)
- Attack Attacked (People fought the police)
- Work Worked (The city did the job faster)
⚠️ The Special Words (Irregular) Some words are rebels. They don't use -ed. You just have to remember them:
- Break Broke (They destroyed the buildings)
- Keep Kept (People had animals there)
- Run Ran (The criminal escaped)
💡 Simple Tip If you see -ed, the action is finished. If the word changes completely (like break to broke), it is still finished, but it's a special word!
