Anshula Kapoor and Rohan Thakkar have started their pre-wedding celebrations with a traditional religious ceremony.

The celebrations began on June 21 with a Mata Ki Chowki ceremony. During the event, the couple performed a traditional aarti in front of an idol of Goddess Durga. This ceremony marked the official start of the wedding events, and Maheep and Shanaya Kapoor shared photos of the occasion on social media. Many close family members attended, including Arjun, Janhvi, and Khushi Kapoor, as well as cousins Shanaya and Jahan Kapoor.

She completed her look with a gold and kundan necklace, traditional earrings, and a mang tika. Other guests also wore traditional clothing; for instance, Janhvi Kapoor chose a pink silk saree, while Khushi Kapoor wore a blush pink gharara set.

The couple first met through a dating app in 2022 and publicly confirmed their relationship in March 2023. Later, they officially became engaged during a 'Gor Dhana' ceremony on October 2, 2025. Anshula is the daughter of Boney Kapoor and the stepsister of Janhvi and Khushi Kapoor.
