Although a joint international effort led by Thailand rescued about 5,000 people from the Myawaddy region last year, the CSNHTV emphasized that the centers were not fully destroyed. Consequently, these fraudulent activities continue to target people in Europe and the United States. Neither the DKBA nor the Myanmar government has commented on these claims.
