Treasurer David Janetzki has presented the second state budget under the Crisafulli government. He outlined a financial plan that aims to reach a surplus by the 2029-30 financial year, even though the state currently faces significant deficits.

Furthermore, the government has clearly stated that it will not introduce new taxes. Instead, it will use small increases in vehicle registration and better tax collection methods to raise more money.

To help citizens, the government is providing $9.3 billion in cost-of-living relief, such as cheaper public transport and school vouchers. There is also a $5.7 billion commitment to build social housing over the next four years.
