A violent attack took place in the village of Kawel, located in the Bokkos area of Plateau State, leaving several people dead.

The attack began on Sunday evening when unknown gunmen started firing weapons randomly. Local officials, including the council chairman and a police spokesperson, confirmed that at least 20 to 21 people were killed. Consequently, Governor Caleb Mutfwang has asked humanitarian agencies to provide urgent aid to the affected community.
