An investigation has been carried out into a physical fight at a Chelsea nightclub on June 8, which involved members of the England cricket team and the Saracens rugby club.

The incident started after the England cricket team won a match at Lord's. Captain Ben Stokes invited players from the Saracens rugby club to celebrate, but during the party, the cricket team broke their midnight curfew. The conflict began when Totoa Auvaa, a 21-year-old Saracens academy player, allegedly tried to hit bowler Gus Atkinson. However, he accidentally hit an ECB security guard instead. The guard needed medical treatment for facial injuries but decided not to report the matter to the police.

Although the Cricket Regulator found that there was not enough evidence to bring formal charges, the ECB gave written warnings to Stokes and Atkinson for breaking their contracts. Consequently, both players were unable to play in the second Test match against New Zealand.

Despite this, George stressed that the player needs proper guidance. Meanwhile, Saracens expressed that they were unhappy because the ECB did not include the rugby club in the investigation.
