The United States Department of Justice has stopped a conspiracy involving about 19 people who planned to kill President Donald Trump and other government officials during a mixed martial arts event at the White House.

The suspects, mostly men in their twenties and thirties, used TikTok to find new members before moving to secure messaging apps like Signal and SimpleX to organize their groups and practice tactical training.

This group follows a 'Christian nationalist' view and is hostile toward the government's relationship with Israel. Evidence shows the suspects were motivated by antisemitic ideas and a belief that a 'demonic elite' controls the government, with some members even praising Adolf Hitler.

The plot was eventually stopped after the parent of one suspect, Tycen Proper, gave a tip to the police.
