At the same time, authorities in Hong Kong carried out a major operation against a syndicate that used ships for secret storage. Police seized 241 kilograms of cocaine, valued at approximately HK$180 million, which is the largest cocaine seizure in the region in the last year. The criminals used boats in the Aberdeen Typhoon Shelter as transit points before moving the drugs onto land. Consequently, a raid on a residential property uncovered luxury items and more than HK$2 million in cash. Three people, aged between 46 and 51, were arrested and are now charged with conspiracy to traffic dangerous drugs.
