Introduction

The state of Uttar Pradesh has moved forward with the recruitment processes for both the Home Guard and the Education Service. Both processes have now shifted from written tests to the verification and interview stages.

Main Body

Regarding the Home Guard Enrollment-2025, the Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPRPB) has finished grading the written exams from April 2026. Out of 25.32 lakh applicants, 1,07,221 candidates have been shortlisted for document verification and physical tests to fill 41,424 positions. The board chose these candidates based on adjusted scores, extra marks for specific qualifications, and state reservation rules. Furthermore, the Board changed some scores after reviewing objections; one question was cancelled and marks were redistributed, while another was changed to give full marks for multiple correct answers.

At the same time, the Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission (UPESSC) has set the interview dates for 910 assistant professor roles in 33 different subjects. After the written exams in April 2026, 3,155 candidates were selected for the next stage. These interviews will take place between July 21 and August 13, 2026. However, the commission emphasized that this process depends on the final decisions of two legal cases currently in the High Court and the Supreme Court.

Conclusion

Both recruitment processes are now in their final stages, as the state prepares for physical tests for Home Guard candidates and interviews for academic staff.

🚀 The 'B2 Leap': Moving from Simple to Complex Action

An A2 student says: "The board chose people." (Simple Subject + Verb + Object).

A B2 speaker says: "Candidates have been shortlisted based on adjusted scores."

Why is this the 'Bridge'? In the text, we see a shift from Active (who did it) to Passive (what happened to the people). In professional English, the action is more important than the person doing it. This is the secret to sounding academic and professional.

🛠️ Breaking it Down: The Passive Construction

Instead of focusing on the 'Board' (the actor), we focus on the 'Candidates' (the receiver).

Formula: [Receiver] + [Have/Has been] + [Past Participle] Example: "Candidates have been shortlisted."

💡 Upgrading Your Vocabulary (A2 \rightarrow B2)

Stop using basic words; start using "Precision Verbs" found in the article:

  • Change \rightarrowRedistribute (To move something around to make it fair).
  • Pick \rightarrowShortlist (To select the best few from a large group).
  • Say \rightarrowEmphasize (To say something with strong importance).

⚠️ The 'B2 Warning' Logic: "Depends on"

Note how the text uses: "this process depends on the final decisions..."

At A2, you might say: "Maybe it happens, maybe not because of the court." At B2, you link a Result to a Condition using "Depends on." This allows you to discuss uncertainty with precision, which is a hallmark of upper-intermediate fluency.
