General Dhiraj Seth has taken over as the leader of the Indian Army, replacing General Upendra Dwivedi after his retirement.

General Dwivedi emphasized that joint operations are now necessary to deal with the changing nature of modern warfare.

Furthermore, his experience as Vice Chief of the Army Staff and his work in strategic planning have made him a key leader in the army's modernization plans.

Other organizational changes have also occurred, with Lieutenant General Manish Luthra and Lieutenant General Madanraj Pande taking charge of the II and 14 Corps, respectively.
