Furthermore, there were serious procedural errors, such as failing to require pocketless uniforms for staff and allowing a private security firm to handle searches instead of state officials. Additionally, CCTV footage was deleted every 45 days, meaning there was not enough electronic evidence to track the money.

Consequently, eight people have been arrested, and about ₹79.85 lakh has been recovered. The investigation has now expanded to include 400 private security guards and the personal assets of the accused, including a property bought by Luvkush Mishra for over ₹23 lakh.

The association passed a rule refusing to represent the accused, although the Vishva Hindu Parishad argued that this move violates constitutional rights.
