Edinson Cavani has officially finished his time with the Argentine football club Boca Juniors.

The professional relationship between the 39-year-old Uruguayan forward and Boca Juniors ended after three years, starting in July 2023 when he moved from Valencia. This separation was caused by a change in the club's leadership. Specifically, the appointment of Arruabarrena as the new manager meant that Cavani was no longer a key part of the team's strategy; consequently, both parties agreed to terminate the contract.

This period differs greatly from his previous success, such as his seven years at Paris Saint-Germain where he won six Ligue 1 titles, as well as his time at Napoli and Manchester United. Furthermore, while he is Uruguay's second-highest goalscorer with 58 goals, he stopped playing for the national team two years ago.
