According to the charges, the accused led a specialized team of divers and explosives experts who used fake documents to rent the yacht 'Andromeda' from Rostock, Germany. They then placed military-grade explosives near Bornholm Island. Although the defense claims the accused has legal immunity and denies any involvement, the German courts have decided to proceed because the attack affected national energy security. Consequently, this case may cause diplomatic tension between Berlin and Kyiv, as Ukraine relies heavily on German military support.

At the same time, authorities in Monaco are investigating a targeted bombing against Vadim Ermolaev, a Cypriot citizen of Ukrainian origin and former property developer. The attack took place in the lobby of a residential building, causing severe injuries to Ermolaev and his son, and resulting in the loss of both legs for his partner, Anna Nasobina. Monaco's public prosecutor has identified a Ukrainian woman in her 30s as the suspect, who reportedly wore men's clothing to avoid being caught. Investigators are currently considering two possibilities: the attack was either carried out by organized criminals linked to a $113 million fraud scheme, or it was a state-sponsored operation. Specifically, they are looking into the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), as reports suggest Ermolaev planned to give evidence of Ukrainian corruption to the European Parliament. Because of this breach of security, Prince Albert II has increased security measures across the principality.
