The Royal Commission on Antisemitism and Social Cohesion has held hearings to examine how effective online safety rules are and the rise of targeted harassment against the Jewish community.

This shows that some people wrongly believe that being Jewish means automatically supporting the Israeli government. Moreover, she highlighted a failure in coordination when a police protection order was publicized by a newspaper, which led to the order being cancelled.

Finally, the Commission found that coordination between the eSafety Commissioner and different police forces is inconsistent. For example, while New South Wales Police have a formal agreement in place, Western Australia Police do not have one due to administrative changes. The Australian Federal Police stated that although the relationship is positive, better coordination protocols are still needed.
