On July 3, a violent fight between two groups who knew each other led to two deaths and one injury at a shopping mall in Dearborn.

The incident started around 1:25 p.m. at the Fairlane Town Center. Police Chief Issa Shahin stated that the violence began because of a disagreement between two groups of young men. He emphasized that this was not a random attack, nor was it related to a robbery. The victims were identified as Cameron Watkins and Keonte Seaborn, both 19-year-old residents of Detroit. One man died at the scene, while the second died later at a hospital.

During the shooting, the mall was evacuated, and a pedestrian was accidentally hit by a car. Consequently, the Dearborn Police Department and the Michigan State Police had to close the mall to collect evidence. After the initial response, authorities arrested two people. One of these suspects was also injured during the gunfire and is now in stable condition. The police have confirmed that the investigation is still active.
